Exhibitions in the showroom

We work with artists on stand-alone projects, engaging with them directly and/or through their respective galleries. We aren’t competing with traditional galleries but supplementing them: we ‘borrow’ the artist, who likewise ‘borrows’ us.

The space offers artists an extended free period in which to cut loose: an accomplished painter might opt to venture into ceramics or sculpture, or vice versa for practitioners in those mediums. It is a space that hosts the conceptually innovative, or indeed more highly variegated artistic constellations, playing the role of satellite venue to a major exhibition or solo show held under other auspices.

Overseas galleries/artists may use us as a conduit to break into a new market. Artists of real merit who have slipped below the radar get the chance to see their work attract fresh interest.

Similarly, emerging talents who have not yet got a foothold can test themselves in the arena where their future may lie. However, the common denominator for the showroom’s activities is a passion for art and an eye for excellence: whilst the one delivers the essential dynamic, the other is key to saving the planet.
